Discussion HP Chromebook not turning on (no power light but charging is working with lights (orange to white)

The chromebook won't turn on at all. I checked if it's charging and it's working since the led lights are on from orange to white but I noticed the power light is still off same goes with the display.

I've tried:
•hard reset (refresh key + power)
• unplugging the battery and charging using AC only (blinking white charging light but still not turning on)
• tried other combinations of keys

Just wondering how would I know if the laptop is getting energy/power from the battery? Since the power light is off (yet still charging)
