HP Compaq 15-s104TX v/s HP 15-r007TX Notebook

I was just wondering that what is the difference between these two laptops.

1. HP Compaq 15-s104TX Notebook (4th Gen Ci5/ 4GB/ 1TB/ Free DOS/ 2GB Graph) (K8T88PA)

Both are from same manufacturer (HP) and have almost same configuration.
4th Gen Core i5 processor
4GB DDR3 RAM
1TB HDD
Free DOS Operating System
2GB Nvidia 820M graphic card etc...



The only difference I noticed is that one is HP compaq and other is only HP.

Whether I should go with HP Compaq 15-s104TX (which is cheaper) or with HP 15-r007TX Notebook? Please suggest!!!

That is correct. Both the laptops have the same configurations except for a negligible change in the dimension.

HP Compaq's dimensions are 377.952 x 259 x 25.4 mm whereas HP's dimensions are 377 x 259 x 25.5.

Since both the laptops have identical configurations and are sold under the same brand, you can go for the cheaper one. I think there is no need to invest more money if the same thing can be bought at the lesser price.

It seems like they will be same. However I cannot comment on this because I don't have access to any of the discussed laptops.

It would be good if you can check any retail shop in your local computer market and see if they have the laptops. You can judge their build quality and differences by seeing them in real.
