Hp dv4 battery will not charge

Hello, I have an hp dv4 1435 laptop. The battery died and I think the reason is that the battery is not charging. I put in a new battery and the charge indicator starts but after 20 seconds it stops charging. I am running windows 7 64 bit.

if both batterys wont hold the unit on the you may have an issue with the power board or power section in the laptop or the ac adaptor voltage is to low..it has output to turn the laptop on but not charge the battery.
if you have local best by that has a spare ac adaptore to test or if you know someone with a volt meter to read the dc output of the aC ADAPTOR
