Hello,
I recently added a 250 SSD on what I would call IDE 1 and my mechanical drive as a secondary on "Ide" 2.... BIOS won't let me boot from the secondary unless it's on IDE 1 and the same for the SSD. BIOS is up to date, and IDE 2 will only act as a secondary even though both drives have an MBR and I can boot both only if I change it to IDE1. Any recommendations? I should be able to boot from both drives... I have WIN 10 Tech on my mechanical, Win 7 on my SSD and Win 8.1 on my mechanical. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'm thinking this is a flaw with HP -- there are not too many changeable settings in BIOS.
