HP ENVY M6-1105DX Win 7?

My friend bought an HP ENVY M6-1105DX laptop the other day but comes with Win 8. He says he can deal with it but likes Win7 more. HP doesnt have drivers for Win7 so would the Win8 drivers work? I know my laptop allowed the Vista drivers to work with Win7. Or is there drivers specifically for this laptop to work with Win7?

I'm going to refer you to this article I read, specifically this "Hewlett-Packard is typical: It does not support downgrades of consumer-grade Windows 8 PCs to Windows 7. But if you buy a machine loaded with Windows 8 Pro, you can make the jump. HP's policy is based on Microsoft's licensing terms, which support downgrade rights only to new PCs preloaded with Windows 8 Pro, the version of Windows designed for business."

win 8 is utter garbage, my college IT dept. refuses to work with win 8 on students computers, due to there being so many unresolved or unresolvable conflicts.
gradually becoming more unstable , with freezing, hang-ups, dropped wireless, crashes. 2 ou of 10 and that is for the looks.
win 8 and acad 2013, FAIL; will be downgrading too win 7 either with this laptop, or getting rid of this one and getting another non HP , as has been advised by the school!!! and getting another.
