As an architecture student, I need a computer that smoothly runs the autodesk products such as autocad, revit and 3ds max, with a good graphics card, processor and resolution. I´ve been thinking about getting one of these. Which one do you recommend? Why?

Hi :)

NEITHER,,,

You NEED to go look at AUTOCAD/REVIT/3DS MAX`s SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ... BEFORE you buy a laptop....

They are a LOT higher THAN EITHER of those....

You are going to have to INCREASE your budget drastically....

All the best Brett :)

really? do you think so? I mean, if you consider the processors, both are of great performance (i7 and A8). Both laptops have more than 500 GB of storage, and 8GB of RAM which is great, I believe. The graphics cards are ok. What would you reccommend instead then?

Hi :)

Go do what I said..... those high end Cad programs have MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS for a reason....

The programs will NOT run properly and some wont even install unless your system MEETS those requirements...

All the best Brett :)

Sorry but I might need other answers, because I have checked the autodesk system requirements, and both laptops, meet them. Thank you.

Hi :)

Sigh... you didn't read this did you..... don't forget I sell high end laptops in the UK, so I DO know what I am talking about...

Read this quote VERY carefully....

Quote " 1,280 x 1,024 true color video display adapter 128 MB or greater, Pixel Shader 3.0 or greater, Microsoft® Direct3D®-capable workstation-class graphics card " UNQUOTE

All the best Brett :)
