I noticed my HP G3 450 reported no audio devices connected and there was an unusual heat around the VGA port and the battery which would last 5 hours would barely stay 1 hour 20 minutes. After going through all usual troubleshooting I decided to open it up and take a look. I found the realtek chip RTD2168 which was located close to the vga port was extremely overheating as soon as I power on. Any fix?
