HP Laptop problem

Hey!Todsy i ran into a problem with my laptop it was 4 am in the morning and suddenly i was waked up by the sound of my laptop fans running at full speed while the laptop lid was closed and technically the laptop was sleeping after i opened the lid the screen was just black and my keyboard or mousepad wouldn't work(also the gpu i suppose was considerable hot),i had to force shutdown.It is a hardware problem or a software problem?Should I go to an proper service for some verifications?

I would first suggest you trying checking the system for malware and viruses. Then if that comes out clean (do deep scans with multiple programs) then I would look into it being a hardware issue.
