HP Laptop Screen Dead

Wife has an HP Pavilion G7 1219WM and without warning the screen just died. We determined that it was the screen and not the videocard, as we're having no problems plugging it into a screen (except when we go to "Projector Only" mode.) I was reading on http/www.tomsguide.com/answers/id-1713588/laptop-screen-backlight-dead.html that it might be due to a loose LCD cable. Anyone know if that might be the case, or something else?

That could be the case. They only way to find out is to open up your laptop and take a look. A screen replacement is only like 50 bucks if you do it yourself.
