Hi, I've got an HP nc6320 laptop that has a busted screen that we've been running through an external monitor. I'm trying to install Windows 7 on it, but I can't get any of the BIOS to display out to the screen. The screen is black until the current OS, Ubuntu, starts booting.

Is there a way I can get it to show the BIOS so I can install Windows 7? I don't know what the boot priority is so I don't know if it looks at the cd drive first or not, but I couldn't get it to boot from the cd after a couple shots in the dark.

Solution
Try Presentation Mode above F6 or Fn+F4 to change monitor modes. Bios is F10 but I'd be careful fiddling around inside the Bios when you can't see the screen.
