hp -pavilio-p204tx slow performance and overhaeting

i bought a hp pavilion-p204tx laptop few months ago.it overheats constantly ,especially hard drive.
it also takes a lot of time to boot and load files.i checked all the system settings and task manager.all is fine.
is it some hardware failure??

Hi,

Do you have a spare HDD that you can try with your new laptop? Heat is a huge factor as well when it comes with the performance of your laptop as you observed that it's running really slow when the HDD is overheating. If you have a spare HDD, install it into your laptop then install Windows in it and see if the same problem will persist. If the laptop will be normally and won't overheat using a different HDD, I would suggest contacting HP for a replacement HDD. Also since it's a new laptop it shouldn't be overheating already.
