HP Pavilion 15-n204tx Laptop vs HP 15-d103tx Notebook

i m buying a new laptop and has shortlisted 2 systems based on their configurations....
1. HP 15-d103tx Notebook
2. HP Pavilion 15-n204tx Laptop

HP 15-d103tx Notebook specs:
- Core i5 (4th Gen) 4200M 2.5 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 Upto 3.1 GHz
- 4 GB DDR3
- Dedicated Graphics Memory 2 GB NVIDIA GeForce 820M
- 500 GB hdd

HP Pavilion 15-n204tx Laptop specs:
- Core i5 (4th Gen) 4200U 1.6 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 Upto 2.6 GHz
- 4 GB DDR3
- Dedicated Graphics Memory 2 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M
- 500 GB hdd
i m confused between these two laptops as i do a lot of rendering and other graphic related works.
going by the specs HP 15-d103tx has powerful CPU clocked at 2.5 ghz on the hand HP Pavilion 15-n204tx have more powerful GPU......
i usually use autocad, lumion, 3d max studio, c4d, vray. revit, etc. and also play games like far cry, crysis, like games...
plz guide me ...and help me to chose between the two models...

thanx for the quick reply but what about the GPU....
could you be more precise about the GPU and its overall performance taking CPU and GPU both into consideration

Well as per your requirements i would suggest you to go for option 1st............Because it has got a nice cpu which will give you better compute performance(if you are not concerned about battery backup) and you can see the difference here:

Now coming to the gpu part 1st one got a weak gpu(gt 820m) which would let you to run most of the games only in low settings and 2nd one got a fairly strong gpu(gt 740m) than 1st one which would let you to run games medium low settings because in india only 64bit version of the gt 740m is available so don't expect very large performance as compared to 128 bit version of the same..........

In terms of overall performance 1st option will give you better performance as per your requirements......

my brother has 204tx, later i bought 103t. so, basically i have both laptops in my hands. nvidia 740m is fairly strong,,,,,,, it runs almost all games in pretty good fps and resolution! for gaming 204tx is far far better,,, 820m is a really weak processor,,,, i m not a gaming freak so i m okay with 103tx! i m not a computer guy, i asked my brother for help,,i thought 800 series is the latest so its the best , after i bought 103tx i came to the difference,,, i did a research,,,, if u r a gaming kinda guy,,, dont buy 103tx ,,,,,, i regret buying it,,,, i could have bought a slimmer ,, light weight notebook with long battery backup,without graphic card,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,, looking into hardware 103tx ,, its material looks too cheap,,,, its thicker ,,, touchpad is not good,,,,,,,,,, mm okay with 103tx ,,, bt not happy,,,,, all i will say is 103tx is a real value for money

HI all,

.Im using HP 15 D 103TX laptop which was purchase 3 months back.In that Bezel was not closed properly,we can see some air gap between bezel and screen. went to HP service center in chennai.Service engineer said that,it was normal.we can find some air gap in these type of Laptop.



Atlast they accept to replace with new bezel.After that also same problem persist.But service center team closed case that,It was working fine.



Please sugest,it was normal for mentioned laptop model or not.
