Hp pc not responding

My laptop name is hp processor intel i3 windows 8.1 ram 2gb but only briefly used for internet always do not respond why can like that?

Because any machine with 2GB of RAM running Windows 8.1 (it's even bad for Windows XP in fact) is going to suffer greatly if you've got too many processes running in the background
