Yes, the HP is more powerful. You can get something better than both of those for about the same price if you shop around, however.

Oh, the pricing in those links is in AUD? That makes a little tougher. Look into a brand called Clevo; I believe in Australia, a popular Clevo reseller (maybe the only one) is known as Metabox. The Lenovo Y40-80 is also priced very well, though I think it would be comparable to the HP you linked (the HP's 840M may be better than what the Lenovo has, even).
