Hp zd7000 no power

when i plug the charger to the laptop,the connector tha'ts on the mobo begins to heat up,and the chargers' light dims,i guess i have a short circuit but i don't know the faulty electronic part to check,can anybody help me.please

Your power jack is loose and shorting on something. You need to take out the motherboard and re-solder or replace the power connector.
