Humax Freeview Box through Surround Sound

Hello,

I am trying to connect my Freeview Box to my Home Theatre System so that I can listen to the audio through surround sound.

The items I am trying to connect are:

Humax FVP-4000T Freeview+ Box
Sony DAV-DZ111 DVD Home Theatre System.

I have the red/white audio connections on the back of both but when I connect these using an RCA cable, this does not seem to work.

The Freeview+ Box is connected to the TV via HDMI and the Home Theatre System is connected to the TV via scart.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The audio from the box should go through the SCART audio output you have from the TV to the HTS. Did you try that?
Check the audio menu on the Freeview+ box to see if you can select the audio via the analog audio out rather than the HDMI.
