Solved! Hunterspider headset mic not working

Recently, my Hunterspider gaming headset mic stopped working. I tried unplugging and plugging it back in, but it's still not working. I don't know why this is, and I want to see if I could get someone's ideas.

My gaming headset suddenly stopped working. It's a Hunter spider V-3 3.5mm Gaming Headset. If I use the switch to turn it off and on, it works but only for a slight moment. Help!

Have you tried it in another device to make sure it isn't the mic itself that is the problem? That is where I would start.
