HyperX Cloud 2 extremely loud?

I just got my HyperX Cloud 2 today and so far I love it however it seems to be VERY loud. I had to turn down the volume on it to 30% and I still have to turn my in game volume WAY down as well. I have always used really crappy headsets my whole life so this is my first decent headset so is that just the way they are? loud? Because it just seems odd to have to lower the volume of literally everything. It especially sucks when I load up a video and get blasted in the ears.

Love the headset, but why is it so freaking loud?

Before I returned my HyperX Cloud 2's they were extremely loud as well. I had to have the windows volume sliders almost all the way down to not blow my ears off. I sent them back for an unrelated issue though.
