Hello people.
I have purchased headset HyperX Cloud 2. Unfortunately I can't adjust sound because I simply don't have equalizer (Realtek doesn't have it anymore) and headset is being plugged into PC via USB, so my MOBO, that has: "Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi MB3 gaming audio suite"
is not working with this headset.

Now question: If I change headset to Cloud version 1, and plug it into my mobo, will it allow me better quality of sound, than headset's soundcard?

if you want to use your onboard audio, you need to unplug the hxc2 from its own soundcard and plug it in via the 3.5mm plug (you need an adapter 4pole to two 3pole) then it will work. the soundcard for the hxc2 is bugged anyways and is nothing but trouble. the hxc2 plugged in like this should work fine with your onboard.

i believe the x-fi suite has an eq http://www.creative.com/oem/products/software/x-fimb3.asp since it is noted on the official page. as for audio quality, perhaps not quality (likely similar) but you are going to avoid the bugs that plague the hxc2's soundcard

Thanks! I figured out, that it sounds alot better. But now, if I have only one cable (that goes into headset's soundcard) can I somehow separate mic and sound before I plug them into computer?

ahem...

........(you need an adapter 4pole to two 3pole).......

one of these buggers. also called phone headset to pc adapter (and many other various names)
