A lot of the bootleg magsafe cases have the ring too high up. Many assumed the G logo should be in the center of the ring when the coil is actually further down.
The author has a Pixel 9 Pro. The G should definitely be centered in the ring. (On the other hand, the Pixel P9P XL and Fold have their coils lower relative to their G logos.)
If you search the Pixel forums on Reddit, you'll see that plenty of people are having problems with the Pixel Stand 2 in particular, even with the ring positioned correctly. Meanwhile, other chargers, including the Pixel Stand OG, work just fine.
I have a P9P with 5 different models of wireless chargers, some MagSafe, some not, including several Pixel Stand OG and Stand 2 units. After experimenting with half a dozen MagSafe-compatible cases, as well as a couple styles of stick-on rings (and even modding them), I was able to confirm that the ring should indeed be centered on the G for the P9P, and that one of the cases I purchased works reliably with all of my chargers, including Pixel Stand 2:

What's interesting about this Torras case is that its ring is measurably greater in diameter than the rings of the other cases, and the "line width" of its ring is thinner. Despite this slight difference in geometry, the Torras case still holds my phone on my car's MagSafe mount without issue.
Unfortunately, the Torras case is so slippery that I'm afraid I'll drop my phone. I ended up using a heated jigsaw blade to melt some texture into the sides of the case.
