i am not able to connect my laptop with the tv via hdmi wire

I am using a hp 15 r022tx and sony bravia klv 32s530a
And yesterday i was first time trying to connect my laptop with the tv
And when i connected it . it wasnt showing anything on hdmi output source.
Then checked online and saw how to change the displays in display setting of the laptop
Where wasnt able to find the other
Dark display
And when i clicked detect it didnt find any other display though it was connected with tv prefectly.
After till some time i got exhausted and let laptop for a update of intel graphic adapter like something
And when the update finished and got installed
The display setting automatically detected the other display
But still it wasnt showing anything on the tv
I changed the 2 display as default
But then also no response
Then i thought to reboot the laptop
Again it wasnt showing the display
Then i continuied of other one hr but nothing happened
So please help me
How to fix this???
