I am sorry, not a connector problem but an alignment problem.

I used the wrong term. I have the RCA connector but I cannot determine the proper alignment because the cable colors are not the same as the connectors on the TV.

Solution
You don't say what you are connecting to the TV but the standard colors are:
Red = Right Audio
White = Left Audio
&
Yellow = Composite Video
OR
Green - Y Component Video
Blue - Pb Component Video
Red - Pr Component Video
If the cables are identical then just make sure they are the same at both ends. I would mark them at each end to make it easier. If the video cables are different (usually larger in diameter) then make sure to use video for video & audio for audio.

like you have a red yellow white cable and youre attaching to red green blue? it doesnt matter what the colors are as long as theyre going to the right port. dont mix up the audio with the video tho
