I don't know how bad is it in Usa to find a new GFX, but in Croatia you can buy all models everywhere...only thing is 3-4xMSRP

This is about the same as saying technology shouldn't progress when costs are high. It's when costs are high than technology needs to progress the most. The high costs right. now might be due to supply chain problems, but diminishing costs can be achieved through technology advancement. Together with better technology comes better manufacturing techniques.
If Nvidia stopped at the 30 series and focused on releasing old models based on old tech again and again, customers would lose out in the end, in both availability and performance. High tech fabs won't be producing at their tech level as much anymore, and low tech products would start needing components the previously high tech production lines, and availability would worsen.

It's kind of ironic that an article endlessly ranting about how it's "nigh impossible to find current-gen GPUs" ends with a whole list of Amazon affiliate links offering to buy those very "impossible to find" RTX 30XX GPUs in one click. All possible flavors of RTX 3070/3080/3090 are in stock at Amazon and ready to ship. Was that supposed to be a troll article?
