This happens to me often on outbound calls, whether using Wi-Fi or my carrier. The callee can't hear me at some juncture a (I can always hear them) and hangs up. Very frustrating after long hold times with doctors or government agencies, getting 90% of my long story told, only to be hung up on and go back to square one.

It just occurred to me that it never happens, even on the longest of personal calls with friends. It only happens when my call goes through an automated system (IVR?) to reach my extension.

Seems to me this can't be purely coincidental, but I have no clue as to what might be the cause. Am I crazy?

FYI, my phone is an old LG Stylus 2 that I'm about to upgrade for various reasons.

Thanks,
Brian

Solution
If you are about to upgrade the phone, see if the new one does the same thing. If it does, check with the phone carrier although that issue they may blame on whatever you are calling since it works fine on other calls.
