After you install the TuneUp Utilities application on a computer, the program allows you to initialize the overall maintenance of your copy of Microsoft Windows with just one click. TuneUp Utilities also allows you to schedule the automatic maintenance of your computer according to which the application automatically initializes the maintenance process of your Windows as per the scheduled time.
When the 1-Click Maintenance or Automatic Maintenance of the TuneUp Utilities application is initialized, there are certain tools that automatically start in the background to perform a specific set of tasks on the Windows. A few examples for such tasks are, registry cleanup, registry defragmentation, hard disk drive defragmentation, etc.
Almost all the tasks that are automatically performed during the 1-Click Maintenance and Automatic Maintenance can be completed in very less time. However, there is one task that may take ample amount of time to complete. The task is hard disk drive defragmentation.
Since the hard disk drive defragmentation task is also included in the 1-Click Maintenance and Automatic Maintenance process, it might take significantly longer duration to complete the entire maintenance process. Therefore, in order to reduce the overall time consumption, many times the end-users (which may also include you) prefer disabling the hard disk drive defragmentation process from the maintenance tasks. Disabling the hard disk drive different maintenance tasks from the 1-Click Maintenance and Automatic Maintenance remarkably decreases the overall time that is consumed to complete the maintenance processes.
Here is how this can be done:
