I dropped my laptop and when I turned on its turning on properly I could even hear the windows log on sound,but no backlight o

My laptop turn on but has no lcd backlight,when connected to an external monitor the monitor showing properly...I think the LCD has no backlight what do I do?

Pull the covers off and see if any cables have come disconnected. If not, replace the screen.
