I am asking this here, because im not sure where else to ask. So any mods, please feel free to move it if i missed the appropriate thread.

So, i have a weird project going right now, and i need the consultation of some one that knows a bit more about audio equipment then i do. The project is that i am going to be wearing a rather bulky costume in a some what loud expo center, and i need a some what loud wearable speaker system. Now, i found some thing premade from a company called creanovative. Its linked here in this youtube video. It looks promising.

I have seen people take car audio equipment and use batteries to do some pretty amazing things. my question is this: Can i buy car stereo parts, and a battery pack, with tiny loud speakers and make some thing as good or better then the harness you saw in the video? Or is that the best thing i could hope for for the price? Mind you, more concealment = better. If it looks like i am wearing a sound system then its too big. I need a shopping list full of parts that you would use your self for this that includes small, loud speakers that don't need to sound "good", just loud. Plus i need a way to power it. I thank you in advance for any help you can give. I know this is a weird one.

Here is a link to a write up about the costume i am involved with, so you'll understand what i am embedding every thing in.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am not sure what you mean by fixed sound system. If the result is me being tethered to one spot, that will not do . it must be man-portable and concealed. It has to appear as though the sound is coming from me, even thought it will be auxiliaried in to my chest from an MP3 player.
