I had my tv for over 2yrs and several months ago it started cutting off by itself and the msg "no signal press INPUT on remote" would pop up. I would have to cut the tv on manually or use the remote. The tv shuts off every 10mim or less now.

If you are getting lots of pixelation, often, then your signal is getting bad. How to fix signal depends whether you are using antenna or a cable provider.

If antenna, try relocating antenna.
If cable provider, suspect cabling problem (unlikely but possible), if this is not it then cable provider's fault.
