I have a 5 yr old a/v rcvr and want to replace 1080p tv with 4k. Do Ineed to worry about hdcp 2.2 or just hdmi 0.2

Your new TV should have both. If you don't have HDCP 2.2 future 4K sources will be blocked from playback. It can't be updated with a firmware change either. They all should be HDMI 2.0 by now.
Your old receiver will probably not pass 4K at all so 4K sources will connect to the TV with HDMI directly.
You will need to add an audio connection from the 4K source or TV for these to your receiver.
