DVI doesn't have audio.
You would need to extract the audio from the HDMI output of the Firestick or use an HDMI to DVI plus audio converter.

i have the converter but still no sound so do i need a new converter and not have it in the dvi?

The converter will have a DVI output for video and an another connection for audio. If the converter doesn't have an audio output it is the wrong converter. You will need an audio cable too
