I can't seem to finish playing a game I've started with the battery is getting low and tells me to plug yet. When I finally have to plug it in because the screen is going less bright,it seems to cut the game off and not allowed it to be played or anything else.

Solution
You should be fine to play games while it's charging.

Note that if you've drained the battery enough that it's shut down, you'll need to boot it up again. Plug it in a bit sooner.

From my personal experience and statistics using your phone or tablet while it is charging damages the battery and makes it go flatter faster hence the reason why charging leads are shot :p

playing while charging does no damage to battery

though you should charge the battery to full once it is plugged in
here are some more tips for battery care

I'm quite cautious of a lot of the information online about batteries. Most tend to repost information available elsewhere, and sometimes don't realise that the information was for NiCd cells, or PbSO4, which behave very differently to the LiPo cells found in most phones.

For instance, #4 refers to 'Memory effect'. Yet the linked wikipedia article explicitly refers to NiCd + NiMH, and states that it's a commonly misused term.

There's a lot of FUD online about batteries.

its hard to believe due to most of the re-posts
for example there was a myth of 128bit processing capability of windows 8 (when w8 was released) and latest arm 128bit arch myth and many popular sites also posted these as truths. while we all know that first hardware needs to be 128bit capable and then only we can develop an os capable of 128bit, and the 128bit myth of arm was due to misconception between address bus and processing, they took 4x32bit address bus of qualcomm's new chipsets as 128bit processing

though i found that #4 seems legit as another wiki article says that
Lithium-ion batteries are common in consumer electronics. They are one of the most popular types of rechargeable battery for portable electronics, with one of the best energy densities, no memory effect (note, however, that new studies have shown signs of memory effect in lithium-ion batteries[6])
