No... I believe he's talking about the new AT&T IP-TV offering, no satellite involved even though the dumb marketing people had no trouble labeling it "DirectTV." There is a thread here talking about it, early verdict: Disaster.

So, Real "DirecTV is still over satellite, Fake DirecTV is not. My original statement is still correct.

Does you TV have any way to access the internet?
The service would not be an over the air channel that you could tune with your TV tuner.
