I have a SONY Digital HD Video camera Recorder. How do I connect its hdmi output to a VGA input on a projector?

I just bought a Sony HD video camera recorder with a hdmi output and I want to send the signal to my HP projectoe which has a VGA input. What do I use to convert the signal?

I don't know how well they work but have you tried an HDMI to VGA adapter?
