I have a Sony STR-DH130 Receiver and a Phillips Blu Ray player how can I connect them?

Your Sony stereo receiver only has analog audio inputs so if your Bluray only has HDMI you can use one of these:

to extract the audio.
If your TV has analog audio outputs you can connect it to the receiver directly. If the TV or the Bluray has optical audio out then you can use one of these:

to convert that to analog audio.
