I have a Toshiba satellite, CPU fan

I KNOW the fan can run faster as when the laptop boots up, it kicks in and is loud.
How the hell do i access the cpu fan controls? It just sits at a constant and lets the laptop overheat! No BIOS options, speedfan doesn't detect any fan...what the hell setup is this thing on self destruct?

I really don't know why you guys downvoted my post, I was just trying to help and he edited his post to say that speedfan didn't work after I had already said so.
[strike]You could download a program to adjust the fan controls like Speedfan ( http/download.cnet.com/SpeedFan/3000-2094_4-10067444.html ) I am not sure it will work for your exact system, but it should unless Toshiba completely disabled it.[/strike]
