I have a tv with hdmi in only. I want to get an audio output to send to my 2channel stereo.

I would need a Jimi tv output to do this , which I do not have.

In order to answer this question, need to know WHERE EXACTLY IS THE SOUND ORIGINATING FROM?

Are you using antenna or cable service? do you have anything hooked up to those HDMI? plan to in the future? and while we are at it, TV doesn't have Toslink(optical) or a RCA jack market Digital or SPDIF?

That is not a good sign.

Your last hope is, that TV HDMI is ARC capable, and your stereo HDMI must also be ARC capable. Consult the manuals to verify.

HDMI ARC is a feature that makes HDMI two-way, instead of its usual one-way.

If no ARC, you are dead in the water.
