I have an access violation at 0x02DB092E

I've had bigfish games on my desktop for some time now but just recently, and not on every occasion I will get the above message when I try to open a game. can you help to solve this?

I think I've found the answer online, I needed to change an older windows version. Hopefully that will fix it
