I have an element smart tv. How do I hook up a cable box to it

It has the red and white hook up on the TV then blue and green.. no yellow

Try following your TV user manual. In most TV's red and white hooks will be for audio, and yellow will be for display,however this may vary. So try to check your TV's user manual.

Your TV likely has a shared component (3 RCA) - compositer (2 RCA) video input. The red and white RCA are usually audio.
The TV manual should tell you how to connect the cable box and configure the TV.
If you can get a cable box with HDMI the picture quality will be much better so check with your provider.
