Well, if you use a laptop for intensive applications, don't expect it to be cold. When I tried rendering on my laptop, it got to 95 easily. If you are planning on doing graphic stuff frequently, you are better of with a desktop, though 90 degrees is still well in the safe area. So don't worry too much, but keep in mind that laptops don't have breathing room, and weren't designed for intensive applications.

Well, in that case I guess there is something wrong with your power circuitry. I think you should contact the manufacturer's support to sort that out, as you said it's a new laptop.

I would say that you'r just fine in the 70's.
I just find it strange that your laptop went up to the 90's, and now for no reason has "fixed itself".
Well, anyway, if your laptop stays in the 70's it's really ok, even if it gets to 90 on havy load it's probably ok for a laptop. But you should worry if again you notice a cpu temp difference with and without the power plugged in!
