I have an old Bose 28 Lifestyle that I want to connect (and sub woofer) to my new Samsung Model UN65KS8000FXZA

Connect the TV optical audio output to the Bose optical input. Check the TV manual for deatils on how to turn on and adjust the optical audio output.
If the Bose doesn't have optical in then you will need an optical to analog converter like this one

and connect it to an aux analog audio input. Select a surround mode that you like for the TV
