I have an RCA flat screen with built in DVD and the aound will not work what could be wrong or how do I fix it

Check the volume. Check that there are no headphones connected. If there's a way to reset it (check the manual), do it.

If you have no electronic skills, there's little you can do but check with RCA repair center.
