I have changed the screen of my lap top-lenovo.Now it works with very low brightness

Sir,
I have purchased a lenovo lap top fro USA indirectly that is through one of my friends.The screen of the same is replaced due to non-working.The person who changed the screen returned the lap top with a very little brightness. Please inform whether it can be got repaired.

And you are certain you have checked all of your brightness settings in Windows? Any applications from Lenovo that may affect brightness? Adaptive brightness is disabled?

The most efficient way to "fix" this, if it is hardware fault, is to replace the screen.
