I have my TV hooked up through satellite and the VHS/DVD player hooked to the TV through composite cables I believe (yellow, white, and red). VHS works on Video 2 but DVD doesn't. Any ides why?

Have you tried connecting the DVD to other TV? If VHS is working, I think there's nothing wrong with the cables, possible for a DVD player problem or, if the TV or DVD has other way to connect like HDMI, try to use HDMI cable.
