I have purchased a Yamaha HTR 3067 6 ohms av receiver and connected to a john barrell 4 ohms 3 way tower speaker with centre and two rears but the bass effect is not there i have done the YPAO calibration and set extra bass and also tweeked the bass frequence to 5 pls advice thanks in advance

Double check digital filters from av receiver (low pass and high pass), double check all cables, disassemble the speaker check the cable inside, if everything is ok untill now then the filter might be fried.

Check the speaker set up menu. If should be set for large fronts, small center, small rears, and no subwoofer. If it say there is a sub then the bass is being sent to the sub you don't have. This is the same as setting the low and high pass filters.

Read the user manual carefull and see if you have and where are the low pass and high pass filters, usually you can find it as crossover frequency.

Yeah I have set it to 60 n can I use this Yamaha htr 3067 6ohms receiver on 4ohms speakers is it advisable pls advice thanks in advance sir
