Diox55 :
Firstly, what model of laptop do you have?
Edit: I realise I am in the wrong forum - it is a PC I am having trouble with. Thanks.
Thank you for replying - I have a Toshiba laptop - Window 7 - used for just travelling. Prefer a PC which is why I just want to get back to the XP if I can . Think the problem was a Uniblue software or possible my actually Kaspersky Lab software which is why I wanted to turn them off. I had been having the computer just turning off and restored to an earlier date but this did not fix it.
Not sure about the laptop description but this is the information I have found.
