I hooked our Samsung 1080 tv up as the second tv on our dish coaxial, the box is at the other end of the house, so we can't run a HDMI cord and we are only getting a 480 how can we get 720 or 1080 without having a cable box?

Solution
To be clear you connected your remote TV to a Dish sat receiver with the RF coax antenna wire output? The channel 3 or 4 output of the Dish box cannot be higher than SD. You would need to use and HDMI distribution amplifier (1 in 2 out) with an HDMI + IR over coax adapter like this one

to get HD. If your main TV setup includes a surround system it becomes more complicated to maintain digital surround in the main system. You would need one of these instead of the distribution amp
