Given that Apple has reported that they obsolete all their hardware devices after 5 years of life, I am not about to spend over $1000. for a phone. That’s at least $200 a year for a telephone with extra features, many of which will likely never be used. I also do not currently trust any AI for general usage. The reason: According to a 60 Minutes investigative report on it, the developers of it have stated that they no longer know how it is actually working and they have labeled its errors as hallucinations. It may be very useful for niche and specialized applications, but it is still in its infancy and in my opinion not ready for prime time or general usage. But given it is currently a hot topic it is a great marketing tool to increase profits. It is also very useful for degrading customer service and eliminating jobs such as tech support.
