I just tried a pocketable mini PC that can transform from a workstation into a gaming PC — and it feels like the future

I love the idea but in my view it lacks something.....a monitor.
I have an Asus flow laptop and proprietary eGPU. I have my gaming setup which I leave my eGPU plugged into my gaming monitor and gaming accessories.
So when I want to game seriously I just plug the laptop in with the one connection and off to go.
When doing other things, and this is where the lack of a monitor with the mini pc is a negative, I just use the laptop to stream movies on my sofa or play casual games using a game controller.
For future setups I'll be looking a laptop with a nice screen for movies, a beefy CPU and ram configuration and a high bandwidth external connection like copprlink or occulink an eGPU dock.

Now imagine just for a second Microsoft had the balls to not abandon their projects at the first sign things might be a bit difficult.
That concept is more or less what Windows phone should have been all about. Just with your phone instead of a mini PC.
