Solved! I plugged in my sound at via digital optical cable and when I select digital on the sound at it makes a loud noise

I plugged in my sound bar via digital optical audio cable and it makes a horrible sound. Changed setting to digital and plugged into proper inlets.

That can be a bad optical cable or port on either of the devices. Need to do a bit of testing, try another cable, try the soundbar on another device, another speaker setup on your TV.
