News I put the iPhone 16 Pro Max vs. Galaxy S24 Ultra through a 7-round face-off — here’s the winner

Your article is full of mistakes. For one... peak brightness on the iphone 16 Max is 2000 nits and the S24 Ultra is 2600 nits. You got that wrong. The battery life is wrong. All tests I have seen put the 16 max at 11h22m and the S24U at 12h31m. It is almost like Apple sponsors this page because you never have the specs correct for Samsung. And you brag about the photo cleanup barely being there on S24. Samsung has had a great tool for that way before Apple and works just as good or better. You don't mention that the AI on apple is not even out yet so that would be a minus right now. This site is so biased.

Yep! 100% biased review. It's not the first time this happens here.

Totally unreliable review.

There is absolutely NO WAY this review isn't sponsored in any way.....

Display and Camera are 100% S24U 🏆
In Raw performance S24U is also clearly better but you gave that point to iPhone......like.....WHAT IS THIS REVIEW?!?!

Horrible!

I feel like this person just reviewed the phone without actually using them. They just read a bunch of specs and looked at the pictures. The pics and videos on iPhone have always been better on the iPhone especially for fast moving, lower light, pets and kids. Just facts

To me the biggest game changer of my Samsung Galaxy s24 ultra is the anti-glare screen. Unless the new iPhone has something like it, there is no way the iPhone performed better under direct lights or sun light. The review just quoted nits which may or may be incorrect according to another commenter and said it performs better outside because of nits. I can go outside in the bright Florida sun, then turn my brightness halfway down and still see the screen easily.

I've been using the Galaxy ultra for years and my wife is a iPhone users, so I always play with both. There are a few instances where the Galaxy is better than the iPhone for pictures. It's usually only in situations with a lot of sun light and videos are usually better as well on the iPhone. While Samsung has been catching up they don't care as much as they cater their algorithm to an Asian audience.

living in both worlds, the way people talk about the photos are way different. That's why a few years ago there is the whole big deal about manufacturer pictures automatically putting on face filters by default. In Asia they love it and have to have it. In the western countries we don't like it as much as we appreciate more of natural look, saying that, it's starting to change with each younger generation in western countries.

This comment about the S24 Ultra made me laugh: 'Despite offering the richer software, its age is beginning to show.'

It was launched only 8 months ago. 😂

Wow - this is not a fair or accurate article at all.

Take screens for example. The listed brightness values for both phones are incorrect, and it is definitely not true iPhone is brighter. No mention of the incredible anti-glare glass on the Samsung either which is a game changer in glare conditions.

Another example is design. Equating SPen to the new camera button? Everything the new camera button does can be done on the touchscreen, but there is no iPhone equivalent to SPen. Samsung has more cameras too. Samsung also has reverse wireless charging, missing on iPhone.

Software is 1 point different even though Samsung supports multi-app split screen, pen and ink, DEX, etc? Or letting apple get credit for AI features which haven't shipped yet and won't fully ship until 2025 while Samsung has actual shipping AI now? Give Samsung credit for the next 6-8 months of future enhancements.

The iPhone may be the best phone, or at least best for camera/video users, but is not the blowout this comparison portrays.

Since they're arguably the two most popular phones around, this iPhone 16 Pro Max vs. Galaxy S24 Ultra face-off will determine for sure what's the better phone.

It's actually laughable to ever say with confidence that an iPhone camera is ever better than a Samsung Galaxy. The camera has a zoom of 100×, and how can a 48mp camera take a better detailed capture over one with 200mp? Less megapixels are better? No way. Let's talk about the translation technology that Samsung has. You can view through the camera and read other languages, it can translate a phone call, your text messages, websites, and translate languages with other people when face to face with live transcribe. Take a photo at night and use no flash photo in a very very low light area and see how bright it looks on iPhone snap shot vs. Samsung. I never use my galaxy's camera flash. No need to. Iphone tech is antiquated and there cameras are always crap.

Try them both before judging. I have them both. One for personal, one for work. The 200 MP sucks. Never use it. It doesn't look as good and if you zoom in after taking the photo, all the pixels blur together. It's not crisp like a 200 MP should be. Not useful. Same for the 50 MP. And the 100x zoom is digital. It sucks and is pointless for taking clear photos. It looks like a 90s science experiment.

For normal photos, Galaxy is better in my opinion. I don't know what the Toms reviewer was talking about. All the photos he posted, the Galaxy looked clearly better.

You clearly don’t know much about cameras if you think just because you jam a 200mp sensor on a camera it makes it a superior photo. You Samsung fanboys are funny
